SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY Assistant Director of Athletic Training in CEDAR CITY, Utah

Assistant Director of Athletic Training

 

Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries or illnesses. Provide preventive, therapeutic, emergency, and rehabilitative care.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Care for athletic injuries, using physical therapy equipment, techniques, or medication.

• Perform general administrative tasks, such as keeping records or writing reports.

• Perform team support duties, such as running errands, maintaining equipment, or stocking supplies.

• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.

• Plan or implement comprehensive athletic injury or illness prevention programs.

• Develop training programs or routines designed to improve athletic performance.

• Conduct research or provide instruction on subject matter related to athletic training or sports medicine.

• Recommend special diets to improve athletes' health, increase their stamina, or alter their weight.

• Other Duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

 

• Master's Degree in Athletic Training

• NATABOC Certified with current CPR certification.

• Evidence of the ability to obtain a Utah Athletic Training License

• Proven knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations

• 1-2 years' experience as a Full-Time athletic trainer in a collegiate setting.

• Demonstrated history of a functional working relationship with Physicians and other medical professionals.

• Knowledge of and experience in implementing NCAA and NATA best practices and guidelines.
