- The facilities maintenance group is responsible for both planned and emergency maintenance for two manufacturing facilities located on the same property. The goal of the group is to provide proactive maintenance programs aimed at reducing equipment downtime, and execute small installations based on internal customer’s requests
Assign, check, and continuously monitor the workmanship, efficiency, and quality of work performed by department personnel. Insure all employees are oriented and properly trained to perform their jobs and safety procedures including lock out/tag out, fall protection, etc. are followed.
Drive overall department performance as to meet/exceed specified departmental KPI’s (key performance indicators
Identify and implement improvements to the preventative maintenance program, equipment upgrades, and maintenance process changes aimed at reducing equipment downtime.
Work with Manager and HR Administrator on manpower requirements, personnel policies, employee morale, and employee grievances, disciplinary actions, discharges, job bid, etc.
Order parts as needed for repairs and maintain adequate spare parts inventory. Coordinate maintenance activities based on Company needs including; answering calls for assistance, prioritizing work schedules, prioritizing and assigning work orders. Work flexible hours with shift rotation. Schedule preventative maintenance and ensure equipment records are maintained and work performed.
Plan and organize small scale and large scale maintenance activities, projects, repairs, associate training, and safety improvements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related from an accredited college/university OR 6 years relevant experience leading team of people in a high volume manufacturing or logistics setting in lieu of a degree required
Microsoft office and other Microsoft desktop applications
Ability to work any shift required

4 years of related experience preferred

Maintenance and mechanical knowledge preferred
