You’ll be leading a business facing IT team responsible for IT Engineering Technology, solution delivery, and systems operations.
Collaborate with Engineering business stakeholders and IT teams to organize digital transformation priorities in alignment with the company’s broader strategic approach, standards and principles.
Manage, support, oversee initiatives to reduce global system proliferation by migrating legacy solutions to common enterprise standards with emphasis on Engineering Core functions
Lead, guide and support multiple workstreams through the design and implementation of targeted change strategies, globally, regionally and locally at a project level.
Understand cross functional requirements impacting Engineering and bring perspective from several IT architecture domains (processes, applications, data, technology) into the solution design in support of global and local application portfolio rationalization and transformation
Enable the use of standard processes, structures, and tools for respective initiatives
Lead team members, including 3rd party resources to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of related projects
Interface among internal IT teams, other internal and international departments, and external service providers.
Serve as a primary IT escalation contact for the Engineering business partner for all IT relevant topics such as IT solution delivery, requirements and portfolio management, and operations.
Manage related IT budget and provide transparency of IT costs and performance quality.
Secures the operation including escalation management and ensures an end to end quality performance according to SLA/OLA
Ensures that all service and response targets are understood and achieved with an efficient use of resources
Documentation of business processes with supporting (existing) systems and applications.
License management for the business partner COTS applications.
Coordination of Open Source activities for Detroit Campus
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
4 years experience leading teams or projects preferred
Experience managing projects with multiple teams of stakeholders, globally
Proven leadership and project management skills
Experience in Eng. and IT Service Management and knowledge of tools (Jira, KanBo, cPlace) and technologies in the area of CAD/CAM/CAE, PLM, Mechatronics, and/or Telematics
Experience Eng. in process and requirement management
Knowledge of IT (technologies, architectures, etc.)
Knowledge of agile project management methods (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban)
Experience in stakeholder management
Experience in change and risk management
Strong CX / customer and business partner focus
Strong presentation, communication and documentation skills
Strong organizational skills incl. time management and planning
Excellent analytical thinking
