To manage all aspects of assigned projects from point of sale to customer acceptance to maximize corporate profits. Is singularly responsible for all parameters of project performance - schedule, budget, specifications, and customer satisfaction.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  1. Presale--Provides pre-sale support for sales and applications engineers.

    a) Plans and commits to project costs and schedule prior to quotation.

    b) Provides technical support, conceptual design drawings, and technical data in support of the sale.

  2. Order confirmation--Upon receipt of order, confirms all aspects of the order as outlined in the quotation and other materials submitted with the sales order.

    a) Reviews and acknowledges customer purchase order recommending revisions if appropriate.

    b) Verifies order content for completeness and recommends revisions if appropriate.

    c) Reviews "Acceptance" test protocol and recommends revisions if appropriate.

  3. Project definition--Defines the scope of work and determines the structures of the project team needed to support the tasks.

    a) Plans and establishes timetables, work schedules, and budget for entire project.

    b) Conducts design reviews.

    c) Sets and communicates goals and objectives to project team.

  4. Manufacturing process--Oversees the project flow during the manufacturing phase of the project.

    a) Creates and structures bills of material according to the quotation and customer design review(s).

    b) Monitors progress of the manufacturing cycle and takes corrective action to maintain established schedules and meet the customer requested ship date.

    c) Provides technical assistance for the integration technician and technical writing support staff.

    d) Inventories equipment, prepares shipping documentation, and initiates invoicing when appropriate.

  5. Closure--Insures the system is installed, accepted, placed in warranty, and closed when all invoice obligations have been satisfied.

    a) Initiates installation notification and supports field service engineer during the installation.

    b) Obtains customer acceptance for the installed equipment.

    c) Sets warranty start/end date and acknowledges dates to customer.

    d) Initiates and works with finance to bring the job to the financial closure.

  6. Performance measures--Reports to sales, applications, and market managers the project performance as measured against the defined goals and objectives in an effort to maximize corporate profits and improve customer satisfaction.

  7. Create and deliver formal technical presentations to both external customers and internal management related to job function, program status, or future technical direction.

Education/Experience:

BS degree in Engineering with 3 years of professional engineering experience or

AA (vo-tech) degree in a technical field with 7 years relevant technical experience or

11 years relevant technical experience.
