What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-SOAS ARSOF Capabilities Manager for the USASOC Force Modernization Center, you will support of United States Army Special Operations Command's (USASOC) core responsibility to provide trained and ready forces that are prepared to meet Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) requirements around the world. This position directly supports the responsibilities, functions, and tasks in Capabilities Determination, Capabilities Development, and Capabilities Integration.Specific efforts supported include coordination with USASOC, USSOCOM and Army staffs; development of requirements documents, fact sheets and other documents to ensure user positions are understood; support Capability Development experimentation and exercise efforts; support operational development acquisition and testing, develop new Special Operations Forces (SOF) systems tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and support all ongoing DOTMLPF-P integration efforts within Capability Management Programs.

More About this Role:

As the ARSOF Capabilities Manager (CM), you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to support the operational development, acquisition and testing of new Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF) systems tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and support all ongoing DOTMLPF-P integration efforts within the Army Special Operations -Capability Management Program. You will assist in development and staffing of DOTMLPF-P Change Requests (DCRs) and other requirements documents. You will also support and assist with the designated Capability Development experimentation and exercise efforts that involves the testing of designated ARSOF capabilities needed to resolve or mitigate high risk capability gaps in areas such as Soldier Systems, Target Engagement, C4I, Mobility, ISS, and Special Programs. When directed you will be responsible for coordination with vendors and other government agencies, as well as assist with the technology development and integration requirements. This may include but not limited to test planning, range coordination, initial operator training, and the development of Risk Assessments.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for tracking DOTMLPF-P integration efforts within the Army Special Operations -Capability Management Program as well as Capability Development experimentation and exercise efforts.

  • Responsible for facilitating day to day operations within USASOC’s Capability Management Directorate (UCMD) by managing the following but not limited to: official taskings via USASOC’s Tasking Management Tool (TMT), UCMD’s Director and Deputy calendars, distribution email lists, portal and its contents, weekly synch meetings, SITREPs, annual travel budgeting, Defense SOF Ready, Military rating schemes and creating and compiling a plethora of briefings and taskings to support the O6 level directorate.

  • Represent UCMD at various meetings to include UFMC Operations meetings, CAPEX and SOF Week.

  • Inputs and tracks work orders for the building when issues occur.

  • Creates trouble tickets for any IT issues within UCMD to assist the Information Management Office.

  • Tasks involving tracking modernization efforts by priority.

  • Executive communications - drafting ghost emails and communicating at the GO level.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or associate degree and 7+ years of experience, or nine years of relevant work experience. We will also consider candidates with 10 years of directly relevant experience.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in operations coordination roles of responsibility within an O-5 or above tactical, operational, or strategic level command or while supporting a DoD contract of similar size and scope.

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong attention to detail.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Education: master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Experience supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organizations.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,000 - $163,800
