Job Overview

Lead cross-functional projects designed to ensure Daimler Trucks Remarketing achieves and maintains its position as a World Class Used Truck Business. This will include driving the DTR Digital Landscape vision the next few years to take us into the technology future. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through projects that include, re-architecture of business processes and systems, along with development of analytical and reporting tools. Candidate demonstrates focus on innovation, customer-centric solutions, communication, world class culture, automation and systems integration. Project Manager with methodical project management skillset and leading interface between the DTR business, DTNA IT and third party solutions providers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic cross-functional DTR projects utilizing methodical project management practices, exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work with business Subject Matter Experts and to utilize critical thinking in order to accurately understand and identify opportunities within the DTR people/process/data/system eco-system.

  • Manage the IT project pipeline as the leading interface between DTR business and DTNA IT organization, ensuring documentation, prioritization and execution of system fixes, enhancements and redesigns. Works closely with all DTR subject matter experts, third party providers and DTNA IT.

  • Lead DTR team through planning & execution phases of an IT system transformation initiative aimed at modernizing the DTR systems landscape, automating manual processes, and improving customer and employee experience. This will require translating DTR business needs into technical requirements and prioritizing business needs to ensure completion of Minimum Viable Product with no scope creep.

  • Foster successful relationships across DTR and DTNA teams to ensure project outcomes meet the needs of the business and account for voice of customers, dealers and employees.

  • Gather KPI and data requirements needed for decision making and business management across DTR and lead the effort to develop a system and analytical toolset that allows for quick, meaningful and accurate reporting of the DTR business across departments.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus, top performance and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Responsible for stakeholder project communications including executive-style presentations and regular project updates with project milestone tracking, accomplishments, decisions and risks.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college required

  • Demonstration of successful completion of complex projects using project management skillset required; including competency in some of the following: Agile/Scrum, Hybrid Agile, Distributed SAFe, or waterfall

  • Methodical process improvement and prioritization skillset required

  • Strong relationship building, customer interfacing experience required

  • Experience with IT/systems/data redesign projects required

  • Highly motivated, strategic and detail oriented, problem solving skills required

  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong Excel, Access skills required

  • Facilitation skills required

  • An attached resume is required

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 8 years of related experience preferred

  • MBA preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Truck Specifications and Daimler Trucks Remarketing processes preferred

  • Proficiency with IMS, SAP/cbFC, Tableau and Alteryx preferred
