In this position you will control the flow and level of inventory, based upon materials management guidelines, utilizing the various material planning, vendor notification and electronic data interchange systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ownership and “cradle-to-grave” responsibilities for assigned parts.

  • Responsibilities include customer communications, planning, scheduling, material release and expediting.

  • Control the flow and level of inventory; based upon materials management guidelines, utilizing the various material planning and material disposition analysis systems.

  • Control work order activity to satisfy customer requirements. Including opening, planning, releasing, changing quantities, identifying engineering revisions, and opening material transfers.

  • Monitor changes in production schedules and inventories to ensure orders and material flow are adjusted to meet production demands

  • Expedite deliveries as necessary according to production requirements, the master expedite report, and the stock replenishment system.

  • Interface with changeover coordinators and schedulers to ensure the smooth, timely and complete transition of purchased goods, services and materials into and out of production systems.

  • Communicate/respond to truck plants and internal shortages in a timely manner.

  • Develop good product knowledge of responsible parts, including assembly practices and how they relate to material flow.

  • Assist with the inter-departmental cross training.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • 3 years of related experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent); or an associates degree with 1 year of related experience required

  • Strong administrative ability with excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements required.

  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change required.

  • An attached resume is required

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • AA degree 1 year of relevant experience preferred

  • Experience in automotive/heavy duty truck industry or related experience preferred.

  • Ability to work on cross-functional international teams to implement software & control requirements preferred
