Job Summary:

The Global Service Planning Manager role is responsible for the strategic and tactical elements of Avnet Integrated’s global service parts planning strategy. Avnet is looking for an independent problem solver who has an excellent data background, understands the intricacies service parts planning, and has experience setting up and configuring planning software. The Global Service Planning Manager will be tasked with having the right part, in the right place, at the right time to support customer’s service needs.

The right candidate must be a go getter with an entrepreneurial mindset who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and continuing to improve the customer experience. Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning data model exercises for prospective customers.

  • Create inventory cost models based on planning outputs to inform program pricing proposals.

  • Produce insights surrounding current customer processes to highlight potential improvement areas that tie to the Avnet value proposition.

  • Inform strategic roadmap initiatives to optimize the technology stack between planning and executional tools.

  • Serve as an SME on the planning toolset, Baxter Prophet.

  • Oversee new customer onboarding from a planning perspective including data loads and network configuration.

  • Define day-to-day processes for managing stocking levels across a network of 160 service depots, repair orders, and procurement plans.

  • Oversee reverse logistics of RMA returns from customers to service depots and back to Repair Vendors

  • Define strategies for new product introduction and end of life planning across various product families.

  • Evaluate planning KPI performance of fill rate, hit rate, and on time delivery metrics to drive process and/or planning methodology improvements.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.

  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.

  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Previous experience in service supply chain management, spare part forecasting, or inventory management.

  • Creative problem solving and technical skills including advanced Excel proficiency. (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.)

  • Baxter Planning or equivalent service parts planning software.

  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
