First Horizon Bank Foreign Exchange Analyst in Memphis, Tennessee

Location: On site in Memphis,TN

Summary

The Foreign Exchange Analyst is responsible for administering on-boarding processes and documentation for foreign exchange clients, managing client foreign currency accounts, pricing, clearing and settling trades, providing trade confirmations and periodic valuation reports, assisting with reconciliations of general ledger and foreign currency accounts, monitoring trading activity, and submitting regulatory reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with revaluations of Foreign Exchange forward contracts

  • Monitor activity in the bank’s foreign currency nostro accounts

  • Communicate with customers who have foreign currency accounts and assist with any special handling needs

  • Work with internal partners to investigate any reconciliation outages

  • Price and settle trades through the FX system, includes sending trade confirmations and working with liquidity providers to ensure that appropriate cover is in the accounts

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of banking and accounting experience

  • Analytical skills

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to explain concepts and transactions

  • Initiative, integrity, reliability and ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates a client-focused work ethic

  • Highly effective and cooperative team player

  • Has understanding of accounting principles key to foreign exchange risk management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred International Finance concentration

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have completed college level coursework in International Finance and have some experience in a fast-paced work environment that requires detailed communication and interaction with internal and external clients.
