Meta Director of Product, Financial Integrity in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Meta FinTech’s Financial Integrity team plays a critical role in keeping our user community safe, meeting regulatory commitments, and reducing friction for our advertisers. This leader will execute on our bold vision to empower everyone to participate in the digital economy, delivering experiences across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Through our Family of Apps, Meta is connecting billions of people around the world with hundreds of millions of businesses. Our users are engaging in a myriad of financial activities, ranging from paying for our services to sending money to merchants as easily as sending a message. Across those scaled experiences, we need to make high-velocity risk decisions, protecting both our business and the community from fraud and scams. This leader will think holistically about risk, compliance, and customer care for payers. Role: The Director of Product for Financial Integrity plays a key role in scaling our payments capabilities and product suite at Meta. This leader sits at the intersection of user experiences and a high-scale platform that relies on leading edge AI/ML to make low-latency high-impact decisions. This leader will be responsible for Risk, Compliance, and Customer Care for payments, cross-cutting both user experiences and underlying platform capabilities. The ideal candidate for this role is a servant leader that has led high-performance product and platform organizations at scale. This leader is deeply experienced in global payments, and ideally has a particular depth of experience in managing risk and fraud. They are no stranger to highly-regulated product areas and understand the importance of regulatory engagement, meeting commitments, and balancing these priorities alongside other urgent business needs.This leader is no stranger to making difficult tradeoff decisions and balancing a portfolio of global products. Key responsibilities also include driving alignment across the organization, both with other senior leadership and the executive team. This senior leader will work closely with partner organizations inside of Meta, such as the Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Facebook App, and Reality Labs teams. Experience managing stakeholders across a global organization while building or expanding infrastructure is a plus. This candidate will have an inherently global perspective for payments, understanding that the policy and infrastructure realities vary meaningfully by geography. They will be no stranger to managing the complexity of high-scale machine learning systems, being thoughtful about the tradeoffs between precision and recall.

Director of Product, Financial Integrity Responsibilities:

  1. Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.

  2. Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers

  3. Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.

  4. Manage tradeoffs associated with a high-scale ML system with many purpose-specific models. Understanding the importance of both precision and recall in different contexts.

  5. Bring a user-centered approach to iterating and enhancing current experiences to make paying others and paying Meta more seamless.

  6. Drive a global payments infrastructure that optimizes speed of global rollout and depth of local payments features.

  7. Build and influence a payments culture that strives to maximize security, trust, privacy, and user convenience.

  8. Evolve our merchant payment experience, ensuring that onboarding, receiving funds, and enjoying financial services are all as seamless as can be.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience in managing product organizations at scale

  2. 8+ years of technical architecture of web applications and/or media products

  3. 8+ years experience designing user interfaces

  4. 8+ years experience creating examples through wire frames and mock ups

  5. 8+ years of experience taking a web product idea from concept through launch

  6. 8+ years experience in product management or product design

  7. BA/BS Degree

Public Compensation:

$323,000/year to $381,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
