Job Overview

This position will be responsible for designing, improving and control production processes through problem solving, lean manufacturing tools, statistical process control and error proofing in order to have robust production processes, achieving Quality in the station with an always customer focus.


  • Utilize problem solving tools on systemic issues and be able to determine corrective actions and countermeasures.

  • Responsible to reduce the Quality KPI's such as warranty claims, DPR's.

  • Provide support to all departments with the implementation of lean manufacturing Quality tools.

  • Assist technically the productive areas in regard to interpretation of documentation, diagrams and specifications.

  • Initiate, maintain, and verify FRACAS issues related to the plant.

  • Provide support to all departments to maintain and update the ISO documentation

  • Lead cross functional meetings to find root cause and drive resolution to customer problems

  • Effectively train others as needed in Lean Manufacturing Quality tools

  • Make decisions base off of data analysis and knowledge of engineering principles

  • Prepares and conducts monthly management updates for Quality KPI's results and corrective actions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required

  • Previous demonstrated experience in practical problem solving is required.

  • Knowledge of TOS or Lean Manufacturing required.

  • Experience with Heavy Duty manufacturing operations is required.

  • Excellent Project Management skills required.

  • Excellent Data Analysis skills are required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn how to use internal DTNA systems for data analysis required

  • ISO 9001 knowledge required.

  • Exceptional personal and relationship building skills required.

  • Ability to deal with conflict required.

  • Ability to lead teams required

  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills required

  • An attached resume is required

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 5-7 years of related experience preferred
