Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager Data Engineer will translate business needs into the development of analytical work products using a number of market leading software packages including those used for building reports, dashboards/scorecards and other guided analysis applications, extract-transform-load (ETL) programs, and associated metadata and training material. Proficiency is expected for relational, in-memory, and multi-dimensional databases. This individual will participate in large-scale development projects as well as collaborate with business analyst, project management, corporate leadership and customers on requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develops applications and infrastructure around key reporting initiatives associated with Case Management Services.

• Designs and develops data models combining data from multiple complex and disparate data sources into a homogenous format for reporting.

• Demonstrates and applies in-depth knowledge of reporting protocol. The Manager Data Engineer should be familiar with reporting tools including (but not limited to) QlikView, QlikSense, NPrinting, PowerBI, Alteryx, Business Objects, SQL, Oracle Essbase Excel Add-In/SmartView.

• Supports new reporting initiatives and applications by gaining an understanding of the underlying data models and designing reports for new applications.

• Drives multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion. Self-direct, track, measure and document within a professional multi-tasking, multi-priority environment.

• Works collaboratively with corporate and field Case Management leaders to understand needs for information delivery and financial capability. Translates these requirements into actionable and effective work products using a variety of Business Intelligence Tools.

• Provides guidance, direction, training, analytical and technical expertise to all levels of staff especially focused on CMSD tools and applications

• Mentors other team members and helps with onboarding and training new staff.

• Ensures the integrity of the data is intact, is translated into useful, actionable information, and is interpreted appropriately by customers

• Working knowledge of hospital operations and the various systems surrounding the operations is preferred.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Master's degree preferred

• 3+ years of experience in SQL required

• 1+ years of experience in BI Tool Development preferred
