Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an IT Security Specialist in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This role involves providing expert risk remediation recommendations, maintaining a formal risk register, and acting as a subject matter expert in managing findings from information security assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide risk remediation recommendations to mitigate identified control gaps and promote awareness of supporting resources and technologies

• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure risks are well documented and communicated

• Maintain a formal risk register that promotes security governance and aligns security findings with business objectives

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the end-to-end management of findings from information security assessments

• Assist in the creation of policies and procedures to help reduce risk

• Utilize technical skills to effectively analyze, document, and communicate information security concepts to different user bases

• Conduct internal or external risk assessments and provide guidance on the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of control processes, documentation, and compliance measures

• Communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner

• Identify and assess the severity and potential impact of risks and communicate these findings effectively to risk owners

• Strong knowledge and experience in Access Control and Authentication

• Proficiency in EO/IR systems and Firewall Technologies is required

• Familiarity with GRC and AB Testing is necessary

• Experience in Auditing and Business Intelligence (BI) is desired

• Skills in Configuration Management and Cyber Security are essential

• Certification in Certified CISO (CCISO) is preferable

• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 standards is required

• Understanding of Governance Risk Compliance (eGRC) is necessary

• Experience in PCI Compliance and PCI DSS is a plus

• Knowledge of HIPAA Compliance and System Implementation is desired

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
