Job Overview

The Economic and Trucking Intelligence team (ETI) drives critical business decisions through early visibility to leading market intelligence, enabling DTNA leaders to plan proactively and act rapidly to ever-changing market conditions. The need for Market Intelligence driven by data and partnerships both internal and external requires the balance of targeted focus, strong skillsets, and innovative mindsets. As part of our team you will play an integral part in the business development process, ensure our executive management get the key intelligence they need to successfully run the business, and support DTNA leadership with tailored solutions that enable data driven, strategic growth opportunities.


  • Collect and analyze internal and external marketing and sales performance data and provide insight and competitive performance statistics to measure and predict DTNA market and performance trends

  • Own DTNA’s Retail Prospect Management System and continue to improve interface with Dealer’s and internal customers by working with stakeholders on future needs and capabilities.

  • Own, implement, and continuously improve annual Sales Objective process through close collaboration with Sales and Distribution Network Development organizations

  • Provide leadership and vision to the team, strive to maintain high level of competency and professionalism to department; Identify and champion opportunities to contribute to decision making and innovation while guiding team strategy and execution

  • Craft clear, compelling story lines for ad hoc management reports. Collect, analyze, and report relevant DTNA sales performance data, market trends and competitive performance statistics. Develop clear, concise stories through the connection of internal and external data points and serve as the “data translator” for internal customers.

  • Develop and implement methods to continually refine and enhance reporting processes and tools.

  • Liaison with IT and Vendors as subject matter expert to continuously improve all systems and tools within area of responsibility

  • Ensure compliance with Daimler Anti-Trust regulations in dealings with external parties

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, IT, & Finance colleagues to develop new ways to harness the power of our data and drive business development

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Marketing, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field from an accredited university/college and 4 years of related experience required

  • Tableau knowledge and work experience is required

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint is required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Analytical and problem solving skills are required

  • Proven ability to work with vendors to drive continuous improvement of internal systems

  • An attached resume is required

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Previous work experience in Business System Development, Reporting/Controlling or similar functions preferred

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Finance or related field preferred

  • Working knowledge of project management techniques and tools are preferred

  • Alteryx knowledge and work experience is preferred
