Job Overview

As a Business Systems Analyst on the IT Engineering Product Design and Documentation Team, you will become a key member of a motivated team that closely collaborates with our business colleagues to provide and support highly valued enterprise level solutions for DTNA’s engineering teams. Some of the products you will support include CAD software, such as Siemens NX, various engineering analysis products and internally developed applications. You will also help facilitate software distribution via our Common Engineering Client and gain experience supporting VDI / VM and RGS collaborative and remote working solutions.

In addition, you will work with engineering users to help define business requirements and determine how to translate them into new and evolving application features. You will work on Agile / DevOps teams in varying roles, and you will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies and applications. You will have opportunities to work on multimillion-dollar projects, and help lead them through all phases of development. You will gain a thorough understanding of DTNA business processes and systems that facilitate the design of new products and the evolution of our existing products.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a thought leader with business and other IT stakeholders to accomplish business, project and technical objectives.

  • Work on Agile / DevOps projects, providing business analysis and system design to facilitate the development of new DTNA applications.

  • Consult with engineering users and IT colleagues to understand business requirements and how they translate into application features.

  • Help support an assortment of high-end 3rd party software products such as NX and Teamcenter.

  • Perform system analysis to determine the system-wide impact of a change. Provide estimates based on analysis.

  • Coordinate application design and development tasks with 3rd party ASPs and internal developers.

  • Author technical documents that accurately represent application design and code.

  • Perform QA and integration testing for both functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Assume Application Ownership responsibility for a suite of applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting of problems, analysis for application enhancements and lifecycle management (technology upgrades).

  • Share knowledge openly with team members and other colleagues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or 4 years of experience in a related technical field in lieu of a degree.

  • Application development experience with modern technology platforms

  • Ability to analyze applications, both from a functional and technical standpoint

  • Application QA Testing

  • Document application requirements and system design

  • Technical Writing

  • An attached resume is required

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred

  • College internship preferred but not required
