Job Overview

The Scrum master role works with the Aftermarket organizations to develop the best in class dealer service applications and systems. This position leads the DevOps process with the business owner, project managers, business analysts, and developers to develop product solutions for the business within an agile methodology. Responsibilities includes leading the sprint process, daily work prioritization, run support and issue resolution. This is a key position in supporting the Aftermarket vision of improved truck uptime and service optimization through service technician applications such as Express Write Up, Uptime Pro, Service Tracker, TechLit and Vehicle Information.


  • Work under supervision of the team lead and manager

  • Leads the team in Agile training and development; ensure team follows agreed upon Agile framework

  • Coordinates all Sprint activities including scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives and backlog development

  • Monitors status and progress; Escalates and tracks roadblocks; ensures action occurs

  • Develops process and governance for deployments

  • Ensures daily sprint scrums are organized, led on time and has a laser focus on the product owner’s requirements

  • Facilitates meetings and documents outcomes

  • Works with DTNA scrum teams to analyze business needs and documents business and systems requirements

  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives through optimization of processes and best practices

  • Leads the planning and use of collaboration tools such as Jira, Git and Confluence

  • Works with software and infrastructure integration teams to know and use CI/CD tool chain

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university/college required and 2 years of experience OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required

  • Experience in Agile methods, sprint ceremonies and scrum principles

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Experience managing work in an issue tracking system such as Jira, TFS, RTC

  • An attached resume is required

  • Experience working in application development environment such as .Net, Java or mobile devices

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Prior experience with external and internal customers to understand their business practices and manage their expectations

  • Knowledge of dealer service business
